Die Geschichte

Der Mensch ist ein Tragling.

Als der Homo sapiens noch jung und neu war, da hatte er noch keinen festen Wohnsitz. Er war Nomade, zog in einer Sippe durch das Land.
Logisch, dass auch die Kleinsten mitkamen. Und logisch, dass es noch keinen Kinderwagen gab. Babies und Kleinkinder wurden also getragen, vorwiegend auf die gleiche Weise, wie wir das heute noch tun: Auf der Hüfte.

Im Laufe der Jahrhunderte und Jahrtausende hat der Mensch sich sehr schnell weiterentwickelt, es gibt mittlerweile so viele Möglichkeiten, unsere Kleinsten zu transportieren, dass wir das Tragen eigentlich gar nicht mehr brauchen. Eigentlich.
Denn der technische Fortschritt ist zu schnell, als dass unsere Urinstinkte mithalten könnten.
Unsere Babies wollen getragen werden, sie brauchen es. Zum Überleben.
Ein Neugeborenes versteht nicht, dass es sicher in seinem Bett hinter dicken Mauern, doppelt verglasten Fenstern und abgeschlossenen Türen ist.
In seinem Kopf herrschen Urzustände die besagen: „Wenn ich hingelegt werde, vergisst mich meine Sippe. Oder wilde Tiere fressen mich auf.“
Getragen zu werden ist natürlich und instinktiv.

Die verschiedenen Kulturen haben im Laufe der Zeit unterschiedliche Möglichkeiten gefunden zu tragen: Im einfachen Tuch in Afrika, im Mei Tai in Asien, in Tragetuch und Tragehilfen in Europa und den USA.

 

Die Anatomie

Babies kommen mit einer gerundeten Wirbelsäule zur Welt, die bis zum Eintritt in die Pubertät langsam die Doppel-S Form annimmt.
Zwischen den einzelnen Wirbeln befinden sich die Bandscheiben, kleine „Gelkissen“, deren Aufgabe darin besteht, die Wirbelsäule vor Stößen und Erschütterungen zu schützen, also zu puffern.
Wenn man ein Baby hoch nimmt, zieht es automatisch die Beinchen an und nimmt die sogenannte Anhock-Spreiz-Haltung an.

Das korrekte Tragen in einem Tragetuch oder einer Tragehilfe stützt zum einen den gerundeten Rücken, unterstützt die Wirbelsäule in ihrer Entwicklung und übt zum anderen aus allen Richtungen Druck und Reibung auf die Hüfte aus, sodass die Gelenke optimal reifen können.
Durch die aufrechte Position im Tragetuch/der Tragehilfe können die Bandscheiben außerdem ihrer Aufgabe nachkommen.

  • passt durch jeden Ladengang (im Gegensatz zum Kinderwagen)
